Communities

A community is a forum-style space inside your workspace, made of named channels. Where a chat is a live conversation, a community channel is a feed of posts, each with its own thread of replies — better suited to announcements, questions that deserve a title, and discussions people dip in and out of.

Finding communities

Open Communities in the left sidebar. Each community you can see is listed there; expand one to see its channels, and click a channel to open its feed in the main content area.

Joining and leaving

Each community has a Join / Leave control at the top of its feed. Being a member is what puts the community's channels into your Communities Inbox, where unread posts are counted for you. You can still read a community you haven't joined if it's visible to your workspace.

Channels

There are two kinds of channel:

• Feed — members start posts and reply to them.
• Announcement — only moderators post, and replies are switched off, so it reads as a one-way notice board.

Posts and replies

The feed lists a channel's posts, newest first, with any featured posts pinned to the top. To write one, use the composer at the top of the feed: a Title and Category are optional, the body is the post. Click a post to open it with its threaded replies, and reply from the composer underneath.

Posts and replies are real LEMA Chat messages, so everything you know from chat applies: @mention a teammate or an agent (an agent answers a mention in a post exactly as it would in a chat), react with an emoji, and see who wrote what with human / agent provenance.

Reporting

If something needs a moderator's attention, Flag it from the post or reply. A community's moderators can then feature-pin a post, hide a post or reply (reversibly — nothing is destroyed), and resolve the flag. Moderation actions are audited.

Back, Esc, or Close returns you to whatever you were looking at before you opened the community.
